Bendodo advocates a quick investiture "with a solo government" of PP: "There is a Frankenstein of 24 parties in front"

MÁLAGA, 14 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general coordinator of the PP and national deputy for Malaga, Elías Bendodo, has advocated this Monday for a quick investiture since "it is good for all Spaniards" and has stressed that the PP "has a clear victory at the polls and more support in Congress than the PSOE" by Pedro Sánchez.

"Our option is a solitary government", he has defended, while warning that "in front there is a Frankenstein of 24 parties" and "all asking for"; what he has described as "ungovernable".

Bendodo, after being questioned by journalists about whether he is in favor of a quick investiture, even in August, has stressed that "we are in the middle of the presidency of the European Union and the sooner there is a government resulting from that investiture, the better for everyone ", he has defended, at the same time that he has shown himself determined "that His Majesty the King, when he makes the round of contacts, will propose President Alberto Núñez Feijóo for the investiture; we hope to obtain a government that starts rolling as soon as possible, since It needs to be like that, because I insist, we are in the middle of the presidency of the European Union".

Bendodo, in an attention to journalists in Malaga, together with the provincial president, Patricia Navarro, has indicated that from the PP "we continue working, not a minute of rest, to build an alternative to the current Government and, obviously, fulfilling the mandate of the Spanish".

"On July 29, the Spaniards spoke loud and clear, with a high turnout and the Spaniards gave Alberto Núñez Feijóo and the PP their confidence," said Bendodo, who recalled the "wide, clear and clear victory" of the 'popular'.

Bendodo also added that "complying with the custom of democracy in our country for the last 45 years, whoever has won the general elections in Spain has had the chance to form a government." Therefore, he has said, "it has always happened like this", hoping and showing himself convinced that "it will be like that".

"The Spaniards spoke clearly and gave Alberto Núñez Feijóo their confidence", influencing the "broad majority that continues to work today to sufficiently build a government that represents change in our country."

Bendodo has said that this week is "key", when the Parliament is constituted and the PP "has much more support today than the PSOE". "The PP has 171 guaranteed yeses for the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo; 172 if we also have the vote of the Canary Islands Coalition, which is very possible, work is underway, and we are only four votes away from an absolute majority, or four abstentions in the event that it was the second ballot".

On the other hand, he said, Pedro Sánchez's PSOE has "its 121 supports; it cannot count, because it is not confirmed even today, with Sumar's 30 seats." "We can just say that he has the right of veto and that he is not willing to swallow all the support and all the ministers that the Sumar bloc could propose," he added.

Thus, Bendodo has insisted on the "only two options for the investiture" such as "a strong PP government in solidarity, where there would only be PP ministers, where we have external support to achieve the investiture, but there would only be a Popular Party government with ministers of the PP" or the other option that is "to get together all those who lost the elections".

In relation to the latter, he specified, it would be "a government of 24 parties", since it would be "the PSOE plus the 18 parties that make up Sumar, plus the five between independentistas and nationalists" and "all asking: one asking for the vice presidency, another asking for amnesties, another asking for pardons, another asking for budgets, another asking for the presidency of Congress...". In short, "something absolutely ungovernable."

"Rubalcaba put the name of Frankenstein and we have already seen the consequences that this legislature has had," Bendodo warned, while adding that "what would be an alternative to Feijóo's solo government would be a Frankenstein multiplied by two, absolutely , ungovernable".

Questioned, specifically, and, on the other hand, about the CC betting on the PNV presiding over the Congress of Deputies, Bendodo has said that he can speak "on behalf of the Popular Party and the discreet work it is doing" to "constitute the Cuts and put us to a later investiture".

"I understand that in these current times, where there are many pools to set up the chambers, everyone is free to propose what they want and we are absolutely respectful, but, obviously, the Popular Party has its plans," he said.

Likewise, on the four votes that remain for the PP for the majority and where they think they can get them from and on the presidency in the Senate, the general coordinator of the PP has insisted that "the talks, the negotiations, be carried out with discretion and the agreements when we have them we make them public". "Allow me that these negotiations continue their rhythm and when we have the agreements we will announce them to you."

Thus, he added, "I hope that in the next few hours, in the next few days, the president of Feijóo will make public the candidacy that will preside over the Senate."

Finally, regarding the statements by the former president of the Generalitat and Junts MEP, Carles Puigdemont, who believes that as key dates approach "nervousness grows and the auction rises"; Bendodo has said that he "will refer to Sánchez".

"I understand that he will refer to the conversations he is having with Sánchez and his family." "There were already cessions in the last legislature and we do not know to what extent Pedro Sánchez is willing to agree," he added, while saying about whether the PP is considering negotiating with Junts that "we have said that this is not on the table" and "therefore, the position of the PP is sharp and clear".
