Belarra insists that Díaz needs Podemos, "despite the fact that the media tells the PSOE that she can do it alone"

TOLEDO, 6 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra, has once again assured this Thursday that she "aspires" to have a coalition agreement between Podemos and 'Sumar', an issue that is "on the roof" of Yolanda Díaz, since she has defended that " Despite the fact that the media related to the PSOE are going to tell him that he can shoot alone, he needs a strong Podemos to revalidate the coalition government".

This is how the leader of the purple formation from Toledo has pronounced this Thursday, where she has been asked about the possibility that Podemos and the 'Sumar' platform, led by Díaz, finally seal a convergence agreement.

Belarra has expressed her chest that Podemos, facing the May 28 elections, "has built more unity candidacies than ever", as has happened in Castilla-La Mancha or Valencia, "key square for the next elections". "Now it's up to Díaz to say if she also wants to be the unit's candidate. Because of us she will not stay."

Asked about the demands of Podemos to support 'Sumar', she has defended that the formation she leads has "a very well demonstrated service record", since they have shown that "they can build wide, diverse, plural spaces, in which all are feel comfortable and well represented".

"I hope that there is a coalition agreement between Podemos and Sumar, and now it is Yolanda who has to decide if she is the unit's candidate," he added.

Asked if she shares the words of the Minister for Equality, Irene Montero, who this Wednesday reminded Díaz that what happened to the leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, could happen to Podemos, Belarra has ratified these words, assuring that it is "completely TRUE".

"It is evident that the media related to the PSOE are going to tell her that she can shoot alone, without Podemos. We think that we need a strong Podemos to revalidate the coalition government and, above all, to fulfill our most important political objective, which it is to be the first political force in that government, because there are some changes that will not come until Podemos has the leadership of the Government. We aspire to close that coalition agreement between the Government and Sumar", he concluded by reiterating.
