Jordi Martí assures that the socialist candidate has refused to meet with Colau y Maragall

BARCELONA, 15 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The number 2 candidate of BComú, Jordi Martí, has insisted that they will not invest the candidate of the PSC, Jaume Collboni, with the votes of the PP: "We do not want to know absolutely nothing", and has reiterated the will of the commons to form a government with the socialists and ERC.

He said it in statements to journalists this Thursday afternoon after Collboni, in an act from the party headquarters, has asked BComú to facilitate his inauguration this Saturday and has assured that if he is chosen mayor he will form a government with the communes .

Given the possibility that this investiture pact includes the participation of the popular, since Socialists and Comuns add up to 19 councilors and do not reach a majority of 21, Martí has once again refused to support Collboni if he has the support of the PP: " With the PP not even in the corner, and we have plenty of reasons".

In this sense, he recalled that "every day the PP makes one more agreement with Vox", which makes them convinced that they will not support Collboni's investiture if it involves the participation of the popular.

"We will not do any agreement that involves participation and an agreement with the PP. Every day that passes there are more reasons, more reasons to have an abysmal distance from the positions of the PP," he reiterated.

Thus, he has said that they will not give in "to this kind of artificial pressure", which he considers that Collboni has made with his appearance this Thursday afternoon, which he has called a last-minute and desperate statement.

With everything, Martí has warned that there is still time to reach an agreement between the PSC and ERC: "We continue with our hands outstretched, there are fewer and fewer days, fewer hours. Tomorrow at any time, in the morning, in the afternoon , a meeting can be made between the three forces".

Regarding this meeting, he has specified that BComú proposed it 10 days ago and that ERC asked him to go with the heads of the list, that is, Colau, Maragall and Collboni; a request that the comuns accepted and that, according to Martí, Collboni refused.

For this reason, he has said that he has been surprised that Collboni once again insisted on a left-wing pact because "he has refused to hold a meeting" with the ERC and the comuns, unlike the Republicans, of whom he has said that they are willing settle.
