Barça's salary limit decreases to 648.8 million

Real Madrid continues at the top with a squad cost limit of 683.4 million

MADRID, 20 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Real Madrid continues to be the LaLiga Santander team that can spend the most on salaries, up to a maximum of 683.4 million euros, after the winter market, ahead of FC Barcelona that has experienced a small drop, to 648, 8 million, due to their elimination from the Champions League, and in a window in which the 'levers' and adjustments are still taken into account, while Atlético continues to be the third team with the highest margin with 315.8 million.

All these data come from the sports squad cost limits (LCPD) presented by LaLiga this Monday, corresponding to the closing of the winter transfer market. The president of the employers' association, Javier Tebas, and the Corporate General Director, Javier Gómez, appeared at the event.

According to what was published by LaLiga, the LaLiga Santander clubs will be able to spend a total of 3,022.6 million euros after this winter market, almost 30 million less than after the summer window. However, it represents an increase of 48 percent compared to the salary limits of February last year (2,046.9).

Thus, the clubs that have experienced a decrease in their salary limit have been Barça (from 656 to 648 million), Atlético de Madrid (from 341 to 315), Sevilla (from 199 to 191) -for not continuing in the current Liga de Champions-, Espanyol (from 72 to 69) and Getafe (from 69 to 68). In LaLiga Smartbank, Granada (24.9) is the team that can spend the most on salaries, ahead of Leganés (15.0) and UD Las Palmas (12.1).
