Baldoví (Compromís) blames Podemos for his absence in the Sumar presentation: "They will know"

MADRID, 1 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Compromís deputy in Congress, Joan Baldoví, has pointed to Podemos as guilty of the absence of the 'purples' in the Sumar presentation of the second vice president and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, and considers that to form a political project "common" you have to know how to "give in".

The relations between Podemos and Yolanda Díaz have been tensing as the Sumar project has been taking shape and this Sunday they will reach the highest point due to the absence of the 'purple' dome in the presentation act due to the lack of agreement between both parties on whether to hold open primaries for the configuration of electoral lists.

On the other hand, Compromís will send a representation delegation to cover Díaz on Sunday, although Baldoví will not be able to attend, who is currently a candidate for the Valencian Generalitat.

In statements to the RNE program 'Parlamento', with Yolanda Díaz there will be a plural, diverse and interesting representation", he commented and Podemos will be responsible for his absence: "If they are all there and they are not, it is evident whose fault it is. They will know; each one decides what he must do", he has added.

In his opinion, to carry out a common political project, "one has to want to be there and give in." "Now we are focused on winning and revalidating progressive governments and then facing the final stretch of this legislature. Adding is not piling up, it is wanting, adding is not imposing, adding is reaching agreements and adding is not pushing," he added.

Baldoví has praised the figure of Díaz and has assured that he "awakens illusion" and "generates hope." "She will be a magnificent candidate who will be able to help revalidate the progressive majorities", she has indicated. However, she has asked to focus first on the municipal and regional elections on May 28 and, from there, to talk about candidacies.

Before the elections, the Compromís candidate has advocated "making comparisons" between the progressive and conservative governments, while expressing his hope of reissuing the former with "a good political climate" in order to continue legislating.

"More than removing the fear of the Doberman (alluding to the extreme right), we must vindicate the work we have done and make comparisons with what the PP has been and is," he said.
