Atlético goes through suffering before a combative Arenteiro

Carrasco, with two goals, and Pablo Barrios came from behind to advance to the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey

Atlético de Madrid fulfilled their return to competition after the World Cup in Qatar and beat Arenteiro (1-3) in Espiñedo, to advance to the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey, after coming back from an even match with a lot of intensity, thanks to double goals from Carrasco and the goal from Pablo Barrios.

With an eleven full of headlines and with the return of the World Cup players, the team led by Diego Pablo Simeone did not fail in their litmus test, against a fierce rival who put up a battle. The youth squad's great goal in the second half gave life to a rojiblanco team that suffered not to lose their cup ambitions, after their European elimination and their bad first round in LaLiga.

Thus, the initial momentum of the locals put the rojiblanco team in serious trouble, at least during the first twenty minutes.
