At least one dead and 23 injured after a bombing in southern Ukraine

MADRID, 27 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

At least one person has died and there are 23 injured, including a child after a bombardment in Mikolaev, in southern Ukraine, as confirmed by the Ukrainian Operational Command 'South'.

The governor of the region, Vitali Kim, has reported that around one in the morning local time the air alarms have been activated, and according to the first information shared by the governor, upon receiving the impact of four S-300 missiles.

The Operational Command 'South' has shared a message in which it has confirmed the launch of "four guided missiles using location characteristics and trajectory changes to make their detection more difficult."

Through his Telegram account, Kim has reported that one of the missiles would have hit a multi-story residential building, while another would have hit a house.

Later, the Command has confirmed that another private house has also been affected, which was completely destroyed, and a historic building that has suffered significant damage, including a fire that has been put out.

At 01:39 local time, the city's anti-aircraft defenses were activated again, and the authorities continue working in the affected areas, without further details being known about what happened.

ZELENSKI CONDEMNS THE ATTACK

The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky, has condemned the attack through a statement on his Telegram account, where he has posted a video of one of the buildings damaged by the bombings and has promised that "terrorists will not get away with it" .

"The invading country does not stop demonstrating that the main objective of this war is terrorism and the destruction of Ukrainians and everything Ukrainian," the president wrote.

"We will find all the culprits. We will have to account for everything," Zelenski has sentenced.
