Aragonès will leave the Senate after his intervention and will not listen to that of the PP presidents

BARCELONA, 18 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, will leave the Senate after speaking this Thursday at the meeting of regional presidents on the amnesty, so he will not stay to listen to that of the PP leaders.

This is what the counselor of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà, explained in statements to the press this Wednesday in the Palau de la Generalitat after meeting with unions and employers.

"He has agenda items and will continue his agenda outside the Senate," explained Vilagrà, who reiterated that Aragonès will defend amnesty, self-determination and improvements for the citizens of Catalonia before the PP barons.

The councilor has defended that Aragonès will go to the Senate to occupy the space that corresponds to Catalonia and defend its priorities: "We are not afraid to go to the Senate or explain ourselves in a territorial Chamber."

The General Commission of the Autonomous Communities of the Senate, where the PP has an absolute majority, called for next Thursday the meeting of regional presidents to debate the amnesty, an appointment that neither the socialist leaders nor the Lehendakari, Íñigo Urkullu, will attend. .
