Aragonés appears before the European mission investigating Pegasus accusing the Government of lack of "active collaboration"

MADRID, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Pere Aragonés, went to the European Parliament Office this Tuesday to chat with the delegation of MEPs who are members of the Pegasus Investigation Commission in the Eurochamber, summoning the Pedro Sánchez government to give explanations "why it does not have an active collaboration" in this European mission.

This is how the Catalan leader has pronounced himself in statements to the media upon his arrival at this headquarters of the European Parliament in Madrid, where several community parliamentarians are carrying out the investigation commission on the 'Pegasus' case and where Aragonés himself appears, in addition the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Meritxell Serret, and the ERC candidate for Mayor of Barcelona, Ernest Maragall.

"We will always bet on dialogue, on negotiation, on giving a democratic solution to the conflict, and espionage should not throw us back on our convictions. It has to be the Spanish government that gives all the explanations that it has not yet given ", Aragonés has proclaimed.

Likewise, the Catalan president has made it ugly that this 'Pegasus' case is not investigated in Congress and the Senate and is carried out in the European Parliament: "It is one more example of how the State institutions have abandoned those citizens who have seen how our privacy has been violated".

At this point, Aragonés explained that in this European mission, the Catalan delegation will share their experience "as victims" and will demand responsibilities so that "all questions" are answered. "Who ordered the espionage? What information is there about our personal life and why have responsibilities not been assumed?" He has sentenced.
