The Spanish athlete Ana Peleteiro has won the bronze medal in triple jump at the World Indoor Athletics Championships, which is being held in Glasgow, and thus achieves the first medal for the Spanish delegation at the Scottish event.

The Galician, bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games, signed a 14.75 that became her second best indoor jump, above the 14.73 that earned her gold at the 2019 European Indoor Championships, also disputed in Glasgow. All after having become a mother at the end of 2022.

The disciple of Iván Pedroso closed the competition with 14.41. The gold went to the Dominican Thea LaFond, world leader of the year with her jump of 15.01 in her first attempt, while the Cuban Leyanis Pérez (14.90) took the silver.
