Abascal appeals to the "decisive" vote to build a "true" alternative and acknowledges that he "mistrusts" the PP

MADRID, 18 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has appealed to the "decisive" vote of the population in the general elections on July 23 to build a "true" alternative and to do "different" things, while acknowledging that He "distrusts" the structure of the PP because he has shown "fear to repeal the policies of the left."

"I am not worried that the PP appeals to the useful vote because it has broken its promises to repeal socialist policies, therefore the possibility of that slogan becoming something credible is lost," he said in an interview with Periodista Digital, collected by Europa Press.

Abascal has defended that Vox has shown in Castilla y León, and now with the pact with the PP in the Valencian Community, that the votes for his party serve to do "different things", by mentioning linguistic freedom in the Valencian region. "Parents can choose Spanish as the vehicular language for their children in a region where two languages coexist, a common language for all Spaniards and a regional language, which is Valencian", he indicated.

Likewise, he has attacked the PP by pointing out that depending on the region "they are very different." "There are many PP. They are very different and sometimes contradictory. But that is something that the Spanish will see depending on the place where they live and will judge in the elections," he asserted.

In this sense, he has specified that Vox and PP "are different forces" and has regretted that the popular ones have "great points of agreement" with the PSOE, detailing that they agree on immigration, in assumption of the globalist postulates of the Agenda 2030, in the "imposition" of gender ideology in schools and "even in everything that has had to do with the linguistic imposition in Spain and the persecution of Spanish in the classroom and in access to public service".

"They are also very similar in what has to do with voting in the European Parliament, where they coincide systematically," he added.

During the interview, Abascal confessed that he also "mistrusts" the polls because they have become "political propaganda machines with the left-wing Tezanos and the right-wing Tezanos" and trusts that the public will "expel" Sánchez from the Government.

"He arrived lying to the Spaniards and it is something that I am not going to stop remembering because it seems to me the most serious thing that could have happened and that fills any of the decisions made during this legislature with illegitimacy," he assured.

Specifically regarding the upcoming elections, the Vox leader is confident that the doubts surrounding voting by mail will be resolved soon and he wants there to be debates with all the candidates and not only between PP-PSOE. "Bipartisanship is a thing of the past, probably some are nostalgic for it, but as long as there are political forces with the importance of Vox, the logical thing is that we participate in these debates," he added.

Regarding a possible disappearance of Vox, mentioning the case of Ciudadanos, Abascal believes that this will not happen because they defend "very deep truths" that are shared by "an important part of the electorate of other political forces."

"Other parties respond to a trend, to a historical moment, but Vox responds to a fundamental movement," he stated.

In this context, he has criticized that Ciudadanos, which "was of extraordinary importance as a reaction to separatism in Catalonia", focused on the "main" problems that distanced Spanish society, the Western world and the world "in general". .
