Abascal accuses Sánchez of lying about the tolls and warns that Vox will not assume its commitments

MURCIA, July 20 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Vox and candidate for the general elections, Santiago Abascal, has accused this Thursday the president of the Government and leader of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, of lying about the collection of tolls in Spain and has warned that Vox will not assume the "commitments" of the coalition Executive.

"We are not willing to assume the commitments of Pedro Sánchez with anyone. We only have mortgages and commitments with the Spanish," Abascal warned in an electoral act in Murcia before thousands of people.

The Vox leader has thus reacted to the European Commission, confirming that the Spanish recovery and resilience plan approved by Brussels includes the commitment to adopt a law on sustainable mobility and transport financing and to introduce a payment mechanism for the use of roads from 2024.

Abascal has denounced that Sánchez has "lied" in this matter "once again" -- "it must be exhausting to lie for four years like Pedro Sánchez" -- and has stressed that it is a commitment that only concerns the socialist leader. "We are not willing to assume the commitments of Pedro Sánchez," he insisted.

In any case, he has warned that the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, also "has said that there are commitments that must be made" and has made it clear that Vox only has "mortgages" with "the Spanish".
