Abascal accuses Feijóo of putting the alternative at risk and says that Vox's demands will be marked by their votes

Remember that the 'popular' have "breached" investiture agreements and that is why Vox asks to enter the governments

MADRID, 18 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Vox and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Santiago Abascal, has accused an "erratic" leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, on Tuesday of putting the alternative at risk after the general elections this Sunday and has explained that the Vox's demands for a pact will be determined by the strength obtained at the polls.

In an Informative Breakfast organized by Europa Press, Abascal celebrated the end of the legislature "of lies", the "betrayal of the general interest of Spain", the "attack on public liberties and human dignity", the institutions of the State and "of ruin".

In this context, he has acknowledged his "perplexity" at the successive offers by Núñez Feijóo to the Prime Minister and Socialist candidate, Pedro Sánchez, to govern the list with the most votes or to seal five major State pacts. "He is constantly saying that he wants to repeal sanchismo and intends to do so by offering a pact to Sánchez", he has denounced, describing this attitude as "surprising".

He has also criticized that Feijóo has said that Vox is not a "reliable" partner a few weeks after having sealed several government agreements in autonomous communities or that he tries to get closer to other parties such as the PNV or the PRC; all attitudes that he believes are not "understood" by PP voters either, to whom he has turned willing to "represent" them to ensure that "alternative."

Abascal has recalled the origins of Vox in 2015, when Mariano Rajoy's PP governed with an absolute majority, to put on the table debates that he believes were abandoned. This shows, as he has stressed, that Vox is not a "broom car" for the 'popular' nor does it "ask for confidence to then give away the votes to other gentlemen."

With this premise, he has warned that Feijóo's speech is "inconceivable, incomprehensible and erratic" and "threatens the alternative". In addition, he has denounced that "saying that Vox is an ally of sanchismo is an electoral trap" and has recalled all the votes of the PP together with the PSOE in Congress and the European Parliament.

After July 23, he explained that Vox will be "reasonable" and will demand the application of a part of his program "depending on the strength" he obtains at the polls. The "problem", he has pointed out, is that the PP "does not comply" with the investiture agreements and has demonstrated it in the Community of Madrid, Andalusia or Murcia.

"We are not stupid, we want the agreements to be respected and that is why we have requested entry into the governments," he has advanced without specifically wanting to say if he wants to be vice president of a future Executive. "I present myself to the Presidency of the Government", she has cleared herself.

In any case, he has pointed out some of the issues that would be a priority for Vox in a future government, such as "institutional strengthening and national unity", the repeal of "climate laws" or education; although he has insisted that Vox is not a "single-issue" party and has "reasonable answers to most of the problems that Spaniards suffer."
