VALENCIA, 25 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -
A 16-year-old girl died in the early hours of Saturday to Sunday after being hit by a car on the Ronda del Calvari in Algemesí (València), the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) has reported.
As reported by the National Police and the town's City Council, agents of the Algemesí Local Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack, a 19-year-old man of Algerian nationality, accused of the crime of homicide.
The event took place around 5:40 a.m. and to the area, the CICU has mobilized a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit and a primary care doctor, who have begun basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Subsequently, a SAMU unit was sent to the scene, whose medical team continued with advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other advanced life support techniques. However, they have confirmed the death of the young woman.
Agents from the National Police of the Homicide Group and the Scientific Police of Valencia, supported by the Alzira-Algemesí Police Station, have taken charge of the investigations.
