98.2% of the votes by mail have already been made available to voters, according to Correos

98.2 percent of the votes by mail, a total of 2,575,597 million, have already been made available to the citizens who requested it, according to data provided by the Post Office as of July 17.

Of these, 2,124,990 have been delivered directly to the voter and 450,607 are at their disposal in their office after having made two attempts to deliver them by hand to the recipient, as required by law, the public company explained in a statement.

With this data, Correos highlights "its commitment to Spanish society and its ability to work thanks to the work of its more than 45,000 employees, who will continue to work until July 23 with the same professionalism as in the previous days".

In addition, the company has highlighted "the normal performance of the entire electoral process", even having produced "specific situations of high workload". "At no time has there been any risk regarding its proper development," he pointed out.

Lastly, Correos appreciates and wishes to seek support from the Spanish public for the professionals who have been working on the process from the very moment the electoral call was made. "We reject all those insinuations or information that have questioned the work of Correos professionals. They weaken our democracy," the statement concluded.
