18F.- Sumar announces a preliminary coalition in Gallegas with Podemos and IU-EU and ratifies Lois as candidate

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, December 27. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The promoter of Sumar Galicia has validated political pre-agreements with Esquerda Unida-Izquierda Unida (EU-IU) and Podemos Galicia to attend the elections, a decision that in any case requires ratification by all the organizations in the next few hours.

Díaz traveled to Galicia this Wednesday afternoon to announce the candidacy of Sumar, the brand that will compete in the elections and that, if the consultations go ahead, will bring together the coalition that will include EU-IU, Podemos Galicia , Alianza Verde (which had already signed with the purple formation) and Equo.

The key to the conversations has also been around the election of Marta Lois as the movement's candidate, a name that comes from municipalism and has the approval of the political formations that make up the space.

In fact, after relations froze due to the departure of Podemos from the mixed group in the Lower House, and after several weeks with statements to the contrary, the twist in the script is led by a candidate who generates consensus and who in the last few hours Sumar has put on the table a coalition proposal that includes the parties, beyond the messages of adding people.

The alliance with Izquierda Unida has also been decisive, which publicly and internally in the negotiations demanded a three-party coalition and to maintain the alliance that had been woven for the general elections of July 23.
