Zelensky proposes extending martial law and "general mobilization" in Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion for 90 days

MADRID, 6 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has delivered two bills to Parliament on Monday to approve the extension of martial law and the "general mobilization" due to the Russian invasion.

The projects presented to the Verkhovna Rada, with registration numbers 8419 and 8420, contemplate the extension of both measures for a period of 90 days from February 19, according to the Parliament's website.

Ukraine passed martial law on February 24, 2022 and introduced a state of "general mobilization", hours after the start of the Russian invasion. After that, these measures have been extended a total of five times to date.
