The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, has confirmed that the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, will travel to kyiv "very soon", although he has not gone into detailing possible dates for what would be the first visit of the Italian president to the country. in conflict.

"Giorgia will come to Ukraine very soon, she supports us and she is a very concrete person," President Zelenski said during an interview for the Italian station Rai, which will be broadcast this Tuesday night, according to a preview collected by the AdnKronos agency.

The Ukrainian president has also taken the opportunity to extol the benefits of Meloni, a prime minister whom he has thanked for her "absolutely clear rhetoric" regarding Ukraine, Russia and the active conflict for almost eleven months.

In this sense, Zelenski has also valued the work of former Prime Minister Mario Draghi and his support for Ukraine, acknowledging at this point some confusion about the direction that the new Italian government would take with Meloni's arrival in office.
