Ukraine and France sign an agreement for the supply of anti-aircraft radars

MADRID, 1 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The defense ministers of Ukraine and France, Oleksei Reznikov and Sébastien Lecornu, respectively, have signed an agreement on Wednesday for the supply of GM-200 anti-aircraft radars by Paris.

This has been confirmed by Reznikov himself on his official profile on the social network Twitter, where he has stressed that the GM-200 will help detect the drones and missiles with which Russia has been attacking Ukraine for more than eleven months.

"Our sky will be protected from Russia's deadly attacks," remarked Minister Reznikov, who also reported that in principle France will supply two of these radars.

Reznikov has also held a meeting with the French president, Emmanuel Macron, whom he has thanked for his arms support, especially after the supply of AMX-10 model light combat tanks.

The Ukrainian Defense Minister thanked the step taken by Paris, as he considers that it has had a positive influence on other countries - alluding to Germany - giving the 'green light' to the supply of armored vehicles, thus forming the so-called "coalition of tanks".

"A very frank and productive conversation about the operational needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for self-defense against the Russian aggressor," Reznikov said, referring to his meeting with Macron.

"France is with us, thanks to the president and the French people for their leadership and unwavering support," Minister Reznikov has settled on his social networks.
