The Kremlin makes Biden and Zelensky ugly for not offering to listen to Russia's "concerns"

MADRID, 22 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Kremlin has criticized this Thursday the visit to the United States of the president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, and has affirmed that neither he nor his American counterpart, Joe Biden, seem willing to take into account Russia's "concerns" or to take firm steps towards peace.

Zelensky chose Washington for his first visit outside Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in February and returns to kyiv with his ally's commitment to bolster air defense systems. Moscow maintains that all of this equipment, including Patriot systems, will be a priority target.

"Neither President Biden nor President Zelensky have done anything that could reflect a potential willingness to address Russia's concerns," criticized the main Kremlin spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, in statements to the media.

Thus, he has indicated that there was "not a single word" about the "horrible bombings of homes" in the Donbas region, located in eastern Ukraine and partially controlled by Russian forces, according to the TASS news agency.

Peskov has called for "real" steps toward peace -- "not in front of TV cameras" -- which would ultimately leave the United States willing to wage a "middleman's war" with Russia, in which Ukraine would be the supposed pawn in the service of Washington.
