The Israeli Army reports the failed launch of a rocket from the Gaza Strip

MADRID, 8 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Israeli Army has reported at dawn this Wednesday that sirens have been activated in the south of the country, after a failed attempt to launch a projectile from the Gaza Strip.

"A launch was detected that apparently fell within the territory of the Gaza Strip," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have indicated through their profile on the social network Twitter.

This incident took place after the IDF carried out a raid in the West Bank city of Jenin, in which at least six Palestinians were killed, including the man suspected of killing two Israeli settlers at the end of February in Hawara.

Following the raid, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Al Qassam Brigades, has called for "intensifying armed resistance to the occupation and its usurpers and to clash with them in all parts of the occupied homeland."
