North Korea accuses the US of "crossing the red line" by sending tanks to Ukraine

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has accused the United States of having "further crossed the red line" by sending Abrams tanks to Ukraine for use in Russia's counteroffensive in the country.

"The United States, which has exposed the entire European continent to the grave danger of war (...) is now further crossing the red line," said North Korea's de facto number two, assuring that Washington leaves "clearer" its confrontational position against Russia, as reported by the KCNA agency.

"Behind this is the sinister intent of the United States to realize its hegemonic goal by further expanding the proxy war to destroy Russia. The world would be brighter, safer and calmer now, if not for the United States," the sister of the North Korean leader has riveted.

According to Kim Yo Jong, the United States represents "a serious threat" and a challenge to Russia's strategic security and pushes the regional situation to the "present serious phase."

Thus, he has blamed the West for ruining world peace and regional security with the delivery of military equipment to Ukraine, which is why they would have "neither the right nor justification to slander the exercise of the right to legitimate defense by the States sovereigns".

"The Ukrainian battlefield is by no means a desert in the Middle East where American tanks ran amok 20 years ago," added the vice-chairwoman of the Central Committee of the North Korean Workers' Party, arguing that "it has no no doubt" that any military hardware ceded to Ukraine "will burn to pieces in the face of the indomitable fighting spirit" of Russia.

"No matter how desperately the allied imperialist forces try, they will never weaken the heroic resistance of the Russian army and people with great patriotism, stubbornness and strong mental power," it added, according to the cited agency.
