Lukashenko assures that the war will continue because the West considers options to "continue hostilities"

MADRID, 4 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has affirmed this Saturday that the West is still considering "options to continue the hostilities in Ukraine", which will imply that the special military operation of the Russian army continues.

"They seek, in our opinion, how to continue the war. Well, then the special operation will not stop," the president said in a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, according to the TASS agency.

In this sense, he has assured that the opponents of Russia "are in no rush to negotiate." "If they want to fight to the end, whether it's a Ukrainian, a Pole or even mercenaries, well, it's their business, it's their right," he maintained, while noting that he does not believe that "they are ready for full-fledged negotiations ".

Lukashenko has defended that his country is willing to do everything "in accordance with an open and real agreement (on the end of the conflict)", after which he has stated that neither Russia nor Belarus wanted and does not want this war.
