French police shoot down an armed man in the center of Paris

French police officers have shot down this Sunday a man who was allegedly carrying a weapon in the middle of the street in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.

The Police had received several notices, after which they went to the scene, where they found a "threatening" man. The policemen fired several times at the man, who finally died from his wounds, as reported by BFMTV.

Police sources have indicated that the man was carrying a firearm, an airsoft type, which was false, as the aforementioned chain has learned.

At the moment there are two open investigations, one for the crime of attempted homicide against a public authority, while the second, directed at the police force, is for the crime of intentional violence resulting in death.
