Sunak will announce the supply of 290 million euros in a military package to the Ukrainian Army

MADRID, 19 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will meet British troops in Estonia as well as leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries at a summit in support of the war in Ukraine on Monday.

The meeting between the leaders of the countries focuses on "how to counter Russian aggression", so that Sunak will ask his counterparts to maintain or increase their military, economic or political support for the Ukrainian authorities.

The British 'premier' will try to reaffirm his commitment to support Ukraine's war effort after Sunak disconcerted by criticizing the use of military supplies provided by his country.

Thus, Sunak will announce the supply of 250 million pounds sterling (about 290 million euros) in a package of artillery ammunition, rocket systems and anti-aircraft guns for kyiv in 2023.

The tenant of number 10 Downing Street has stressed that the European allies "have been in unison" in the response to the invasion of Ukraine and are "firm" in the "ambition for peace in Europe", according to the newspaper ' The Guardian'.

"But to achieve peace we must deter aggression and our joint deployments throughout the region are vital to ensure we can respond to the most serious threats. I know this Joint Expeditionary Force summit will only underscore our close friendship and unwavering support for Ukraine," he said.
