Bitcoin Ink: A Study shows that interest in "Crypto tattoos" has jumped 222% over the past year

Interest in crypto tattoos has increased dramatically as cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, decentralized financial (defi) and non-fungible token technology (NFT), have experienced tremendous growth.

A Crypto Head study has shown that searches for tattoos relating to cryptocurrency have increased by 222% in the past year.

A Study shows a growing interest in Bitcoin and Crypto Tattoos

A report by Cryptohead that was shared with Bitcoin.com News shows that people are more interested in having crypto-related tattoos done than they were last year. Crypto Head conducted a study that looked at Instagram hashtag data and Google search volume. It found that interest in crypto tattoos rose 222% over the past 12 months. The research found that 1,900 searches were made for the term "cryptotattoo".

"Bitcoin tattoo" saw 1,600 queries in the last twelve months, while "dogecoin Tattoo" saw 700 searches. The second-largest crypto asset in terms of market capitalization, Ethereum ( ETH), saw the most tattoo-related queries. Crypto Head researchers also looked at metrics derived from Instagram, in addition to Google search data.

The report shows that tattoo-related themes such as bitcoin ( Bitcoin) dominate Instagram, with 986 Instagram posts featuring the hashtag #cryptotattoo. Only six Instagram posts included the hashtag #ethereumtattoo.

Crypto Head's research shows that other social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, have a number of posts using the hashtag "#cryptotattoo." This hashtag is very relevant to social media platforms like Twitter where a lot of people have shared pictures of their bitcoin-themed ink during the past few years.
