Biden will travel to Canada to meet with Trudeau and strengthen bilateral collaboration

MADRID, 10 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has announced that he will travel to Canada on March 23 and 24 to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The leaders will reaffirm their commitment to the agreement between the two countries and Mexico, as the basis for working on a new bilateral agreement that regulates the joint priorities of the United States and Canada: collaboration in defense and security, climate action, and immigration.

Among the issues to be discussed would also be to strengthen and modernize the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD), the joint organization of both countries that controls the defense in the airspace of their territories.

Also, talking points outside the US and Canadian borders will be the war in Ukraine and the crisis in Haiti, as well as the entire Indo-Pacific region.

During the visit, which will also be attended by the first lady, Jill Biden, the US president will give a speech in the Parliament of Canada.
