The UA and Orizon sign an agreement to develop Final Degree and Master's Projects on AI and Machine Learning

The Alicante technology company Orizon and the University of Alicante (UA) have reached a collaboration agreement to guide and support the development of the Final Degree Projects (TFG) and Final Master's Projects (TFM), which will be proposed by the entity to the academic institution and will deal with topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning.

In accordance with this agreement, Orizon's TFG and TFM proposals will be incorporated into the offer intended for UA students and the topics related to technologies will be presented to the coordinators of the degrees in Physics and Mathematics, and the Master in Calculus and Scientific Modeling, as indicated by the academic institution in a statement this Friday.

These topics on AI and Machine Learning should be applicable to optimize software and promote optimal functioning of infrastructure. Orizon professionals will also advise students in the development of their Final Year and Master's Projects.

The agreement aims to complete the training and skills acquired by students in their final year of Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the UA. In addition, it seeks to promote among these the development of TFG and TFM whose themes are aligned with the areas of knowledge, practices and research areas identified as strategic in the business technological environment.

The rector of the UA, Amparo Navarro, and the CEO of Orizon, Ángel Pineda, have signed this new agreement, which is added to the professional internship agreement that the company has maintained since 2018 with the UA and that has brought it, through the program 'Talent Shuttle' of the Alicante Science Park, to host internship students.

In fact, he highlighted that the UA has become "an important talent pool for Orizon", since up to 40 percent of its professionals come from its classrooms.

Orizon also develops, together with the UA and the Science Park, different training initiatives, such as seminars and courses, and promotes research in areas of knowledge, such as development languages, mainframe and cloud computing technologies, automation and AI; and methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and its evolution focused on performance, DevPerOps.
