Benidorm will host the first massive flight of drones connected to three U-space service providers

ALICANTE, 30 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

This Friday, December 1, Levante beach in Benidorm (Alicante) will host the first massive drone flight, with more than 25 devices, connected to three U-space service providers to validate different services that can be provided to drones.

The demonstration, which will take place this Friday at 12:30 p.m., is part of the European project U-ELCOME, in which the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) participates, as indicated by the academic institution in a statement.

During the flight, the more than 25 drones will be connected to various airspace managers (USSPs), with the aim of validating different services that can be provided to these drone devices, and which can be viewed on television screens.

Aerial media from the National Police of Alicante, Valencia and Murcia will participate in it; the PEGASO team of the Alicante Civil Guard, the Autonomous Police of the Valencian Community, the Local Police of Benidorm, Valencia, La Nucia, Finestrat, La Vila Joiosa, El Campello, Elche, Altea, Xàbia, Dénia, Gandia, Cullera and Paterna .

Likewise, firefighters from the Valencia City Council and different civil operators will also participate, in addition to the team from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In addition, in the drill an Advanced Command Post (PMA) of the Valencian Security and Emergency Response Agency will be created.

This demonstration is part of the European project U-ELCOME, which is led by EUROCONTROL, responsible for airspace management in Europe. A total of 51 partners from France, Spain and Italy participate in it.
