What is the cheapest supermarket in my city and on the Internet? Check it in this search engine

MADRID, 27 Sep. (EDITIONS) -

The OCU has just published, like every year, which are the cheapest and most expensive supermarkets in Spain. Specifically, its analysis is based on visits to 1,180 establishments in 65 cities in the country.

This 'ranking' is especially important today given that, as the report itself points out, in 2022 the products that are included in the basket to make the comparisons have risen 15.2%, the highest rise in 34 years. In fact, the report's conclusions are not encouraging at all: "All supermarket chains have raised their prices."

However, if you go to the cheapest supermarkets, the national average savings is 994 euros per year. Therefore, this search engine can be useful to give your pocket a break every time you go shopping. In it you can check the cheapest supermarkets in each city.

The Alcampo de Coia hypermarket in Vigo is the cheapest supermarket in Spain, while the chains include Tifer, which is found in towns in Castilla y León; Dani, the local chain established in Jaén and Granada; and Family Cash. Alcampo and Supeco are the cheapest national chains to make the purchase.

Meanwhile, the establishment of Sánchez Romero on Calle Arturo Soria in Madrid takes over from La Moraleja (Madrid) and this year is the most expensive in Spain to fill the shopping basket, followed by Amazon, Novavenda and Ulabox.

According to the OCU report, the city in which the difference between shopping in the cheapest and most expensive establishments is highest is Madrid, where it reaches up to 3,529 euros. Behind her are the Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes area, with 2,977 euros.

On the other hand, the cities in which these differences are smaller are: Cuenca (485 euros per year), Segovia (520) and Pontevedra (526).
