Vox denounces before the AN an alleged hate crime and glorification of terrorism in the 'Ospa Eguna' of Alsasua

Ask the court to question the representatives and identify those attending the act

MADRID, 30 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Vox has denounced before the National Court the celebration at the beginning of September in Alsasua of what is known as 'Ospa Eguna', an act to request the departure of the Civil Guard of Navarra, considering that the attendees could incur in alleged hate crimes and glorification of terrorism.

As reported by the formation led by Santiago Abascal, in its brief sent to the court, it recalls that "hate speech is not protected by the freedom of ideological expression, since it cannot offer shelter to the exteriorization of expressions that contain an unjustifiable contempt for victims of terrorism, even leading to their humiliation".

In the aforementioned mobilization, carried out without incident through the streets of the town, slogans such as 'Talde represiboak kanpora' ('The repressive groups out'), 'Alde hemendik, utzi bakean' (Get out of here, leave us in peace) were launched. , or 'Ez, ez, ez, represioari ez' ('No, no, no, no to repression').

Thus, the formation has requested the National Court to question the legal representatives of those who appear as conveners and that the Alsasua City Council be given a free of charge to send the complete file of the authorization of the act held on September 3.

It has also asked that the Government Subdelegation be urged to send the complete report on the event held and to the National Police, Civil Guard and the Provincial Police, to obtain a report on the data they know of the people who were in it.

In addition, Vox has requested that the Judicial Police report crediting the content of the links and photographs to the news referred to in its writing.

The formation denounces in its letter the "impunity" with which the protesters chanted shouts like "Those over there torture people" or "You are neither wanted nor needed."

Vox also maintains that the call was disseminated through social networks by a group closely linked to support for ETA terrorism, and that it defines itself "expressly on Twitter as 'Alsace fines group. The group for political defense and workers' economy.

"This type of act has been carried out since 2010, however, in 2019, the Prosecutor's Office requested that the act be suspended, arguing that it reproduced a tactical objective of ETA," says the party, which affirms that this call seeks "the contempt towards the civil guards and other agents, as well as their families, creating a hostile environment towards them in said locality as neighbors".

Vox, which says it does not know "which entity or person has requested authorization from the Alsasua City Council to hold the event", insists that "there is no doubt that the collaboration in the preparation and celebration by the City Councils becomes a essential element of it, for which its mayor is ultimately responsible".

From the party they have also recalled that the National Deputy Secretary requested before the celebration of the act that it be suspended. "However, the party's request was rejected. Thus, an act was allowed where the idea was spread that the members of these bodies are not worthy of respect and authority," they criticized.
