Vox criticizes the Government's notice to CyL without "nothing happening" in the CCAA and asks if it has been done in Catalonia

MADRID, 24 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Vox spokesman in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, criticized this Monday the request sent by the Government to Castilla y León after the announcement of the measures for pregnant women and without "nothing happening" in the community and has asked if notices have also been sent to Catalonia, where action has been taken "to the detriment of Spanish legislation".

At a press conference in Congress, Espinosa de los Monteros stressed that "the mere fact of the announcement" by the Vice President of Castilla y León, Juan García-Gallardo, already motivated the call from the central Executive to the regional government.

"The Government of Sánchez addressed a request to the Government of Castilla y León after it announced a series of measures that were going to improve care for pregnant women, although it did not put it into practice later," it has deepened.

This, as he explained, has led Vox to verify that from the Palacio de la Moncloa it is possible to "intervene" the way of acting of an autonomous community. "This is good to know for the future. If one day we reach the Government, we will know that there are measures to prevent the autonomous communities from exercising their freedom, something that we have never seen until now," he stressed.

But in addition, he has taken the opportunity to ask the Executive of Pedro Sánchez how many times he has addressed similar requirements to the Generalitat of Catalonia. "If they have done this in Castilla y León before they did anything, because in fact nothing has happened in Castilla y León, how many times will the Government of Catalonia have been required," he asked.

Espinosa de los Monteros has maintained that, unlike Castilla y León, in Catalonia acts have been committed and laws approved that "are detrimental to the Spanish nation and Spanish legislation."

Specifically, through an initiative registered in the Lower House, the Vox parliamentary group demands from the Government "number and full copy" of the requirements that the Executive has made to the Generalitat during this legislature.
