UP sees Marlaska's appearance on Melilla as "disappointing" and is inclined to reactivate the investigation commission

He defends that the Minister of Equality used a sociological concept when accusing the PP of promoting the culture of rape

The president of the United Podemos parliamentary group in Congress, Jaume Asens, has described as "disappointing" the appearance of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, on the past tragedy in Melilla and defends the need for the groups that demand an investigative commission in the chamber demand that a date be set for their debate in plenary.

He has also defended that the head of Equality, Irene Montero, used a "sociological" term when referring to the "rape culture" to accuse the popular of promoting it as a result of institutional campaigns on sexual violence, and that this expression should be used in the camera.

"Yesterday many people did not know the meaning of this concept and today many people know it", the leader of En Comú Podem has reviewed in the corridors of Congress, who instead has criticized that from the Table of Congress it is prohibited to use the term " fascism" and reproach that it does not set clear rules to unfold the parliamentary debate.

In the case of the explanations of the head of the Interior, who reiterated yesterday that there were no deaths on Spanish soil, Asens has been critical of Marlaska, in line with other parliamentary partners of the Executive, and has defined his intervention as disappointing.

Thus, he has slipped that his group is in favor of reactivating again the request for a commission of investigation into the death of migrants at the Melilla border fence, which is being considered by formations allied to the Executive.

Precisely yesterday, the leader of the confederal group urged the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande Marlaska, to stop "throwing the balls out" about this event and rectify the initial version given by his department, since his political future is at stake.

"Marlaska must accept the harsh reality of what happened in Melilla or the harsh reality will end Marlaska", he launched in statements to RNE
