Ukraine estimates the number of Russian soldiers killed since the beginning of the invasion at about 55,000

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have put the number of Russian soldiers killed since the start of the invasion on Tuesday at about 55,000, including 160 killed in hostilities recorded during the last 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has indicated that 2,216 battle tanks, 1,323 artillery systems, 168 anti-aircraft defense systems and 318 multiple self-propelled and armored rocket launchers have also been destroyed.

Thus, he has underlined in a message on his account on the social network Facebook that 252 planes, 217 helicopters, 925 drones, 15 boats, 3,587 vehicles and fuel tanks and 125 pieces of special equipment have also been destroyed.

"The Russian enemy suffered the greatest losses during the last day in the directions of Bakhmut and Donetsk," he said, before emphasizing that the balance provided "is being updated."

On the other hand, he has denounced that "the enemy continues to adopt drastic measures to keep the situation under control" in the face of counter-offensives by the Ukrainian Army in recent weeks. "The threat of shelling and missile attacks continues to exist throughout the territory of Ukraine," he warned.

"The enemy continues to focus its efforts on organizing defense and keeping occupied territories, fully occupying the Donetsk region and disrupting the active actions of the Defense Forces in certain areas," he specified.

In this way, he has pointed out that the Russian forces "fire at positions" of the Ukrainian Army "in the line of contact", "take measures to regroup their units in certain areas", "transfer reserves" and "do not stop their aerial reconnaissance ".
