Ukraine denounces that AI report and CBS documentary are in sync with Russian propaganda

MADRID, 8 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dimitro Kuleba, denounced this Monday that the recent report by Amnesty International (AI) and the documentary by the US network CBS --both critical of the country's Armed Forces-- are in sync with the campaigns Russian propaganda.

As explained by the person in charge of Ukrainian diplomacy in a publication on his Facebook social network profile, one of Russia's main objectives is to reduce, or completely avoid, the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian Army by Western powers. .

According to Kuleba, Moscow carried out a "first wave" of disinformation between May and June to influence the opinion of the international community regarding the adequacy of the supply of weapons, although Russia is now immersed, he says, in a second campaign.

"I don't know if the Amnesty International report and the lying CBS documentary, which have come out almost simultaneously, are connected to the Russian government. But I am sure that both the organization and the authors of the 'masterpiece' have dealt a blow unfair and unprovoked information spread throughout Ukraine, and absolutely synchronized with Russian propaganda," the minister said.

It is true that Kuleba has acknowledged that both AI and CBS have apologized for the report and the documentary, although he has criticized the fact that the NGO has excused itself for the "pain inflicted on the Ukrainians" and not for "violating the truth and the reality of this war. The aforementioned letter accused the Ukrainian Army of operations against international humanitarian law.

Likewise, CBS hopes that the results of an investigation will be made known that will settle responsibilities regarding the broadcast of a piece of "Russian propaganda" in which it is questioned that all the weapons supplied to Ukraine are effectively reaching the hands of the members of its Armed Forces.

Despite everything, Kuleba has celebrated that "all these lies" are not having an effect on his allies, since "no partner or organization in contact with Ukraine" has expressed itself in terms similar to "the manipulation of Amnesty International or CBS."

"The partners know perfectly well where, how much has been donated and how it is used. Fortunately, they do not receive their information from Amnesty International and CBS", the Ukrainian Foreign Minister has riveted in what represents a new public criticism of both organizations for material that , according to kyiv, equates to attacked and aggressor.

Finally, Kuleba has stressed that the Government of Ukraine "continues its systematic work to counteract Russian manipulations", although he has warned that this is a battle "that can never be won forever". "The Russians are beaten, they leave, and then they enter a new circle," he has warned.

"Ukraine is the target of many who do not wish our people victory. But we will continue to fight and win together," the Ukrainian diplomatic representative has settled.
