MADRID, 20 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky announced on Tuesday the creation of a commission to regulate the use of weapons provided by the West with the intention of preventing Russian propagandist accusations.
Despite the fact that Ukrainian troops have so far not been charged with possible misuse of Western weapons, the Ukrainian leader has asked the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to implement the initiative presented by the head of the Office of the President, Andrii Yermak , to create such a commission.
"There was and is no basis for any claims to our state in this regard. Our partners are fully informed about how we use the weapons provided. But in order to eliminate any manipulation of Russian propagandists and those who help them in Ukraine, a additional parliamentary scrutiny tool," Zelensky said in his daily statement to the country's population.
The parliamentary commission will include representatives of all factions and parliamentary groups, as detailed by the President of Ukraine.
On the other hand, Zelensky has warned Russian troops that "no matter how they try to hide", the Ukrainian army will attack them in response and "will establish the identity of all Russian criminals guilty of terrorizing Ukrainians".
"No matter how the occupiers, the Ukrainian Armed Forces try to hide, our intelligence will still provide retaliatory strikes, and our state will establish the identity of all Russian criminals guilty of terrorizing Ukrainians," he declared, reiterating his request to its Western allies to label Russia a "terrorist state".
