Uatae asks to create the figure of the 'vulnerable self-employed person' and equate it with that of the 'vulnerable consumer'

MADRID, 31 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Union of Associations of Self-Employed Workers and Entrepreneurs (Uatae) has called for new measures this Wednesday to protect the self-employed against inflation which, according to data advanced yesterday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), stood at 10, 4% in August.

The general secretary of Uatae, María José Landaburu, has argued in a statement that the reality and concrete and specific characteristics associated with self-employment "have nothing to do with salaried work", for which she has urged to create the figure of the 'autonomous vulnerable' to equate it with that of the 'vulnerable consumer'.

“The self-employed are the ones who are being affected the most by this situation, since they cannot affect their services with these price increases for their clients due to the potential loss of clientele that this would entail and they have to deal with an unsustainable situation in many cases. to avoid losses in their daily activity", exposes Uatae.

Although Uatae positively values the recent measures activated by the Government with the different social protection shields, it considers "that a little more progress can be made in the creation of proposals that have a direct impact on the group as a whole".
