The PSOE transfers to the APM that Feijóo must unblock the renewal of the CGPJ if he wants to be "at the height" of Spain

The Secretary of Justice, Institutional Relations and Public Function of the PSOE, Llanos Castellanos, met this Wednesday with the president of the Professional Association of the Magistracy (APM), María Jesús del Barco, and informed her that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo must unlock the CGPJ "if he wants to live up to the great country that is Spain."

With this meeting, the PSOE wanted to know first-hand the opinion of the APM on the decision of the PP to break off negotiations to undertake the renewal of the members of the governing body of judges, pending for almost four years.

During the meeting, Castellanos conveyed to the president of the APM his willingness to maintain a permanent dialogue with the four judicial associations in the country, as well as with other associations and institutions in the Justice sector in Spain and the unions.

He has also indicated that the PSOE is not going to accept lessons from the PP because, in his opinion, it has been failing to comply with the Constitution for four years "consciously and without paying attention to the great institutional damage that it is generating at a national and international level", added Castellanos, during the meeting held this morning at the party headquarters on Ferraz street.

With this meeting, the head of Justice of the PSOE concludes the round of meetings that began on November 3 with the main judicial associations in the country.

This same afternoon, he also met with the president of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, Victoria Ortega, to whom he expressed his concern about the situation in which he finds himself, the judiciary, in his opinion, due to the refusal of the PP to unblock the CGPJ. She also thanked him for sharing her opinion on this matter.

Castellanos plans to meet tomorrow, Thursday, November 17, with representatives of the CCOO and UGT unions and, over the next few days, with other associations that are part of the Justice Administration to also obtain their point of view regarding their current situation and transfer to them "the commitment of the PSOE" to unblock the CGPJ.
