The PSOE is committed to continuing to combine control sessions and debates between Sánchez and Feijóo in the Senate

Granados hopes that Sánchez will attend one of the four plenary sessions before the end of the year, although "it will depend on the international agenda"

MADRID, 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The spokesperson for the PSOE in the Senate, Eva Granados, has been inclined to continue combining the control sessions in the Upper House with the appearances of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, in which he can debate, among others, with the leader of the PP , Alberto Núñez Feijóo, although he has warned that the presence of the chief executive "will depend on his international agenda more than on the speculations of Mr. Feijóo".

This is how the socialist leader has spoken in an interview with Europa Press about the PP's request that Sánchez return to the control sessions to debate with Feijóo with a set time.

In this context, Eva Granados has expressed hope that Sánchez will be able to attend one of the four plenary sessions that will be held before the end of the year, although she has warned that "it will depend on the president's international agenda more than on the speculations of Mr. Feijoo".

The PSOE spokeswoman has attributed that the PP has stopped requesting Sánchez's appearances in the Senate to the fact that "when they have time to respond they have plenty of time and they lack proposals."

In this regard, Eva Granados has vindicated the presence of Sánchez in this Chamber, highlighting that "no other president of the PP had never set foot in the Senate as much as Sánchez", and has accused Feijóo of "fleeing from the debates".

All in all, the socialist spokeswoman has recalled that Sánchez's appearances in the Senate "are not face-to-face debates", but rather he speaks with all the parliamentary groups: "But I think that the more space the Senate has for the Prime Minister go, and here you are sitting on a bench, for a short time, but the leader of the opposition is there".

"I wonder what Feijóo has come to do in the Senate, if he doesn't want to debate, which is the dream of any parliamentarian, to be able to debate with the president of your Government. It seems that since he loses them all, because he doesn't want more debates with the President of the Government", he has sentenced.
