The PP meets with Garamendi and members of the CEOE to draft its electoral program and hopes to meet with the unions

MADRID, 2 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The coordinators of the electoral program of the Popular Party, Íñigo de la Serna and Carmen Fúnez, have met this Thursday with representatives of the CEOE to learn about their proposals in the "listening" process that the party has opened to prepare the electoral program for the elections of May 28.

The Popular Party has also addressed the trade union organizations to obtain their proposals and hopes to hold a meeting with them in the near future, as reported by the formation in a statement.

The meeting with representatives of the employers' association - which was attended by the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi - is part of the round of meetings that the PP is holding with different associations and representatives of civil society to prepare the framework program for the May elections.

De la Serna already assured at a press conference that the Popular Party has opened a "listening" process to meet the real needs of citizens, as well as the problems, challenges and solutions posed by social agents and associations to develop a solid, solvent program , and that it constitutes a "real alternative to the Government of Sánchez".

For the PP, the business fabric, made up of large companies, SMEs and the self-employed, constitutes a key part of the Spanish economy for job creation, economic revitalization and Spain's international projection.

The PP has transferred to the CEOE its gratitude for holding this meeting and for the previous work when selecting a battery of measures aimed at promoting employment, social integration and the generation of opportunities, key elements for economic revitalization.

These proposals will be "studied by the PP", as indicated by the formation chaired by Alberto Núñez Feijóo at the end of the meeting, although he has not revealed which specific proposals that the CEOE has transferred to him.
