The New York Prosecutor's Office summons Trump and two of his children to testify on July 15

MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Former United States President Donald Trump and his children Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr have been summoned to testify by the New York Prosecutor's Office on July 15 as part of an investigation of the Trump family's businesses.

The three will testify as of July 15, according to a court order and stipulation to which the NBCN network has had access. The parties have until the end of the following week to finalize the declarations, and each member of the family will testify separately.

Even so, they could not testify on that date if an appeals court requests it, or if the former president presents the documentation required by the attorney general, Letitia James, about his businesses.

For nearly three years, the attorney general's office has investigated allegations that the Trump Organization misrepresented its property values to obtain favorable loans and tax breaks.

Meanwhile, attorneys for the family and the company have tried repeatedly but unsuccessfully to block a subpoena for his testimony from James, as well as other demands for information from the company, CNBC reports.

The Trump Organization, currently operated by Donald Trump Jr and his brother Eric Trump, has denied wrongdoing, something that Donald Trump himself has also underlined, who has described the James investigation as a "witch hunt", according to the aforementioned string.
