MADRID, 28 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The revitalized nuclear agreement with Iran that the international community and the Government of Tehran hope to sign shortly could include four phases "to build trust between the parties" and would fully enter into force 165 days after its signing, according to a draft text published this Sunday by the Israeli daily 'Haaretz'.

This draft could change in the face of the final agreement since Iran is currently reviewing the response presented by the United States to an initial agreement text presented by the European Union, and from which the information from the Hebrew media has been extracted. Iran could give its opinion on the US review by the end of next week, according to Iranian outlet Nour News, affiliated with Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).

The first stage is called "day zero" and refers to the day of the initial signing of the agreement. A day earlier, the parties will have finalized another pact by which Iran agrees to release an unspecified number of prisoners in exchange for the unfreezing of the Islamic republic's assets frozen in international bank accounts, as well as a relaxation of trade sanctions. against Tehran.

Iran, from that moment, will suspend any type of initiative that deviates from the text of the nuclear agreement but, according to the draft, it will be able to retain the uranium inventory that it has accumulated so far.

The second and third phases will take 90 days and will feature exclusively the United States. First, the president, Joe Biden, will bring the agreement before Congress for approval thirty days after the initial signing of the agreement.

Within 60 days of obtaining congressional approval, Washington will notify the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear agency, of its decision to rejoin the pact that the previous US administration Donald Trump left in 2018, three years after the first and historic signing.

The fourth phase will take another 60 days and will revolve around the formalization of everything agreed, by which the United States will gradually eliminate the rest of the sanctions and the Islamic Republic will return to the terms of the agreement, culminating in a joint declaration .

Israeli sources have assured the newspaper that the agreement does not satisfy one of the main demands of Iran, which was the withdrawal of the Revolutionary Guards, the most powerful wing of the Iranian Army, from the list of terrorist organizations. Right now the US and Israel, the sources point out, are discussing "additional Israeli demands" whose content has not been disclosed.
