The leader of the Taliban assures that "they will not allow anyone" to interfere with the current Government of Afghanistan

MADRID, 19 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the Taliban, Mullah Hebatullah Ahundzada, assured this Friday during a speech in the Afghan city of Kandahar that they will not allow anyone to interfere with the current government and has indicated that they are ready to engage with the international community, always in the Sharia framework.

In this second high-level meeting, which has not had journalistic coverage and was held on Thursday, it is the second largest that has been held since the Taliban regime took over Afghanistan, according to what the television network reported this Friday. Tolo TV.

It should be remembered that the Taliban, who have controlled Afghanistan since August 15, 2021, are celebrating the anniversary of "independence" with various activities in cities such as the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, and Kandahar.

The interim Foreign Minister, Amir Jan Muttaqi, explained during the meeting that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been represented in the "best" way throughout the world. "Afghanistan will not be a conflict between world powers and its soil will not be used against anyone," he explained.

"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants good relations with all countries, but we cannot expect relations with some countries to quickly normalize after 20 years of war," he warned, according to the pro-Taliban news agency Bajtar News.

Ahundzada, who has not been recorded or photographed in public since the Taliban seized power in August 2021, as well as other senior officials, already participated in another large meeting of the same characteristics in Kabul last July.
