The Ibex 35 loses 7,300 points with a fall of 2.18% in the middle of the session

The Ibex 35 sank 2.18% in the mid-session this Wednesday and fell back to lose the level of 7,300 points, in an environment that continues to be marked by the messages from the central banks in the inflation scenario and the fear of an economic recession.

In fact, investors will be attentive this day to the speeches of the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, and her counterpart at the Federal Reserve (Fed) of the United States, Jerome Powell.

On the other hand, this Wednesday it was published that German consumer confidence for October was worse than expected, as the GfK indicator fell to -42.5.

In this scenario, the Ibex 35 was trading at 7,283.6 points at twelve noon, with all its values ​​in 'red', except for Siemens Gamesa, which rose a modest 0.03%.

The biggest falls were presented by Arcelormittal (-6.29%), IAG (-5.13%), Grifols (-5.01%), Indra (-4.41%), Meliá (-3.65%), Acerinox (-3.32%), Solaria (-3.02%) and Amadeus (-2.79%).

The rest of the European stock markets also traded with losses in the mid-session, 1.91% in London, 1.55% in Paris, 2.08% in Frankfurt and 2.11% in Milan.

On the other hand, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at a price of 86.36 dollars, with an increase of 0.1%, while Texas stood at 78, 47 dollars, after falling 0.08%.

Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 0.9587 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium stood at 120 basis points, with the interest required on the ten-year bond at 3.456%.
