The Ibex 35 advances 0.4% and recovers 8,100 integers in the middle of the session

The Ibex 35 was trading in the mid-session with an advance of 0.46%, reaching 8,133.9 integers, on a day marked by the meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies, a group known like OPEC.

Among today's references, the publication of the Composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the eurozone stands out, where private sector activity contracted in July for the first time in 17 months, as a result of the impact on demand of the high inflation. In fact, the index fell to 49.9 points, from 52 the previous month. In contrast, the Russian PMI shows that the growth of private activity accelerated its expansion in July.

In Spain, the PMI for the services sector was published, which maintained a positive evolution in July with a solid rate of expansion, which stood at 53.8 points, compared to 54 the previous month, despite inflation and the deterioration of economic expectations.

However, the composite PMI for the Spanish economy moderated to 52.7 points, compared to 53.6 integers in June, indicating the weakest level of expansion in private sector activity in the country in the last six months.

Regarding the arrival yesterday of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, in Taiwan, it seems that tensions have eased, which has allowed the Japanese Nikkei (0.53%) and the Japanese Nikkei to rise. the Hang Seng of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (0.40%), although the CSI 300 of Shanghai has fallen by 0.97%.

In this context, the biggest rises were recorded by Fluidra (3.81%), BBVA (2.51%), Aena (2.15%), Santander (1.97%), IAG (1.94%), Grifols (1.91%), Colonial (1.33%), Amadeus (1.29%), PharmaMar (1.09%). On the other hand, Acciona (-2.89%), Rovi (-2.02%), Enagás (-1.72%), CaixaBank (-1.23%), Telefónica (-1.19% ) and Banco Sabadell (-0.93%).

The rest of the European stock markets also traded with slight increases in the mid-session, 0.23% in Frankfurt, 0.20% in Paris, 0.07% in Milan and 0.06% in London.

Pending the decision on oil production made by OPEC, the price of a barrel of Brent crude, a reference for Europe, was at a price of 99 dollars, with a decrease of 0.94%, while the Texas was placed at 93 dollars, after falling 0.87%.

Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0197 'greenbacks', while the risk premium stood at 112 basis points and the return on the ten-year Spanish bond stood at 1.993%.
