The Government approves 98.5 million to support SMEs and promote innovative entrepreneurship in Spain

MADRID, 1 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Council of Ministers has approved this Monday three lines of financing to support SMEs and innovative entrepreneurship managed by Enisa, a body dependent on the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, worth 98.5 million euros.

Specifically, these aids will be distributed in three lines: Enisa Young Entrepreneurs Line, Enisa Entrepreneurs Line and Enisa Growth Line.

In this way, this item will allow the financing of more than 600 business projects with an estimated induced investment of around 218 million euros.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, has pointed out that "entrepreneurship and innovation go hand in hand". "Enisa has a long history that has allowed its rise and expansion, through a firm commitment to innovation, so necessary to stimulate economic development and new business models, which enable the transformation, not only of the economy, but of society itself", he indicated.

For his part, the CEO of the National Innovation Company, José Bayón, has stated that "in this year in which Enisa has completed 40 years of its creation" he makes a "positive balance" of the role that as a public entity plays to make "advance and grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the increase in financial and human resources that will serve to provide greater and better service to SMEs and entrepreneurs" in Spain.

In 2021, the operations approved through these lines were 560, 10.6% more than in 2020, and an investment of more than 93.4 million euros, which represents an increase of 12% compared to 2020.

The historical portfolio of the public entity amounts to more than 7,700 loans disbursed, exceeding 1,165 million euros invested and more than 6,700 companies financed.

This financial impulse materializes in participating loans of between 25,000 euros and 1.5 million euros.
