The alliance of Repsol and Telefónica for photovoltaic self-consumption, Solar360, will operate from this June

MADRID, 13 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The 'joint venture' of Repsol and Telefónica Spain to develop the photovoltaic self-consumption business, which will be called Solar360, will operate from this June, once the mandatory authorizations for its constitution have been obtained, both companies reported.

Specifically, the alliance will offer comprehensive self-consumption solutions to private clients, neighborhood communities and companies, both SMEs and large companies, through the installation of solar panels, with "the vocation to lead the sector", they highlighted.

The new company, which will have its own management team, combines the knowledge and experience of Repsol and Telefónica Spain, with continuous customer support.

Thus, in addition to the capillarity of its channels and its strength in operations and distribution, Telefónica contributes to the 'joint venture' its technological experience and its 'IoT' (Internet of Things) capabilities to provide the facilities with a differential optimization in the market.

For its part, the energy group adds its experience in self-consumption and multi-energy in Spain, which makes it possible to offer the customers of this new joint venture a specific electricity rate that complements the photovoltaic installation.

The logo of the new brand, which combines the corporate colors of Repsol and Movistar, "reflects the complete value proposition provided by the alliance of both companies, which opens the door to exploring additional opportunities to jointly promote other energy services in the home and companies," added the groups.

Solar360 was created with the aim of covering all the client's needs, advising them on the design and dimensioning of the installation, with a 'turnkey' product. It will also solve any doubt about the operation in the generation of energy, managing aid and subsidies associated with the product.

Likewise, the service offered will include personalized after-sales service and maintenance throughout the useful life of the photovoltaic installation.

The offer will be available this June and will be personalized for each type of customer according to their level and consumption habits, seeking to maximize savings on their current electricity bill.

In addition, it will include a mobile application for the control of the installation and the continuous optimization of energy expenditure, personalized financing for each type of consumer and other value-added services linked to the photovoltaic installation.

The president of Telefónica Spain, Emilio Gayo, highlighted that the group "is committed to being a 100% renewable company and achieving the goal of zero net emissions by 2025" and stressed that the alliance with Repsol "guarantees us future success".

Meanwhile, Repsol's General Director of Clients and Low-Carbon Generation, María Victoria Zingoni, assured that with Solar360 "an exciting journey in an alliance of routes, the most complete in the market, in which the client will be able to be even more owner of their consumption and feel part of the energy transition, with the support of two large companies".
