Teresa Ribera, Vice President of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, meets at 11:00 this Friday with Rubén Hernando, president of the Spanish Cogeneration Association (Acogen), and with Julio Artiñano, president of the Association Spanish for the Promotion of Cogeneration (Cogen).

This meeting, which is part of the design of the Contingency Plan that the Government must send to the European Commission within the community strategy to face the impact of the war in Ukraine, is part of the round of talks of the third vice president with the main sectoral, social, political and civil society agents to analyze the situation and collect proposals that help Spain reduce its gas consumption, in accordance with the commitment made in the European framework.

"After the first measures of rapid application that we approved at the beginning of August, focused on eliminating redundant energy consumption, we are now putting together an extensive and complete Contingency Plan proposal, and we are analyzing all the measures that the different agents send us to have the work concluded this September", declared the vice-president.

Ribera held a meeting this Thursday with representatives of parliamentary political formations and the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory.

Ribera pointed out that "the meeting with the parliamentary arch has been particularly constructive when it comes to exchanging views and I am sure that many of the ideas and proposals that we have shared will be reflected in the document; in any case, we are going to continue working and collaborating so that the Contingency Plan that we send to the European Commission is the result of the greatest consensus".

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, was attended by Félix Bolaños, Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, and Rafael Simancas, Secretary of State for Relations with the Courts and Public Affairs. Constitutional.
