RABAT, February 2. (From the special envoy of EUROPA PRESS, Leyre Guijo) -

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has indicated that Spain and Morocco have committed themselves within the framework of the new relationship they have established to avoid anything that could offend the "spheres of sovereignty" of the other.

"We have assumed a commitment to mutual respect, whereby in our discourse and in our political practice we are going to avoid everything that we know offends the other party, especially as it affects our respective spheres of sovereignty," he stated. during the beginning of the plenary session of the High Level Meeting (RAN) in which the ministers of both governments have participated.

Sánchez has held a bilateral meeting with the Moroccan Prime Minister, Aziz Ajanuch, at the headquarters of the Government, while the eleven ministers who have accompanied him have met separately with their counterparts to finalize the more than 20 agreements that are going to be signed in this RAN, four times more than those subscribed in the last one in 2015.

First thing in the morning, and as is the tradition among dignitaries who visit Rabat, Sánchez has gone to the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, grandfather of the current monarch and where his father Hasan II is also buried, to pay his respects.
