Sánchez criticizes that the only approach of the PP is to request early elections on a daily basis while blocking the TC

He demands that the Constitutional Court make decisions "with full legitimacy and not with an expired mandate"

The President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, has criticized that the only approach of the PP is to request early elections "every day and for everything" while they are blocking the renewal of the Constitutional Court (TC).

"Is there a pandemic? Early elections. Is there a volcano on La Palma? Early elections. Is Putin attacking Ukraine? Early elections, every day and for everything", Sánchez launched at a PSOE event in Valencia, along with to the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig.

The head of the Executive has reproached the PP for continuing to block the renewal of the Constitutional Court, a body that makes "very important" decisions, for which reason "it is entirely reasonable that these decisions be made with full legitimacy and full powers of its powers" , and not with an expired mandate as is currently the case.

In this sense, he has censured that when the 'popular' govern "there are no early elections or delayed elections" because there "what matters is keeping the posts of those they appoint even for life, which is what they are doing for four years. And if for that they need to block Parliament, they don't cut a hair. They go and do it," he said.

Having said this, he has asked himself "what does the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, look like" in all this", to which he has responded that the current leadership of the 'populares' "are aware" that they have a "temporary contract and precarious" and that if they do not obey "the same thing will happen to them" as to Pablo Casado and his management.

"Therefore, if the interests they obey, which are not those of the majority, tell them 'no, you have to use Parliament to block the renewal of the TC and the Government of the judges', then they go and do it ", has failed.

On another point, Sánchez has emphasized the Catalan issue, ensuring that the Executive is solving the problem in the autonomous community against the management of the Popular Party, which, he commented, "has no alternative" to a commitment to coexistence because "they never They have not cared about Catalonia, Spain or the Constitution".

In this sense, he wanted to send a message of calm to the Spaniards and, in particular to the Catalans, insisting that the Constitution will be complied with and the "problem in Catalonia" will be resolved.

"In Catalonia, harmony finally prevails and here we are complying with the Constitution every day and in all territories. There is only one political party that does not comply with it and that is the PP. Therefore, no lessons," he claimed.

"We are neither more nor less Spanish than them. We do not give lessons nor do we want them to give us lessons in constitutionalism," he added.
